1. Write, "I love you" on a sticky pad, Then post those notes every where...like on a plate (hint not the first plate but maybe the second or third, so your loved one finds it after awhile), in their favorite movie, on a new roll of toilet paper, under the pillow...This will last for days and will be a wonderful reminder of how much you love each other.
2. Get about 5 Quarter rings and hide them, then draw a map or give clues and make it a treasure hunt. This can work with anything, its the effort you put in that shows your love.

Then she can cash them in when she needs too. IF you have kids lets get a night off or date night. For Men, any sexual coupon works for them (talking to those that are married here), or maybe a coupon saying, you choose where we spend the date night.
4. A card is always a must! Make sure to write a sweet message inside not just signing your name. If you can not be with your loved one on valentine's how about several cards. In the first card send the person on an errand that they like a Book store or Purebody for a smoothie! Make sure and instruct them to purchase something they like. You have to put instructions in the first card that tell them to ask at the front desk to pick up another suprise! Then at the bookstore or at Purebody you have a card with their name on it waiting at the front counter. In that card has another errand, you get the idea and on the last errand you have a single rose waiting. This is exciting and adventurous and really shows you thought of them!
5. Get those slicks from the dollar store that have hearts on them and put them on her car window or some window she will see during the day. I don't think this one will be liked by men.
6. Put kisses on the ground in a row to something (like up the stairs) then at the end of the kisses put a vase of roses with a shower head in it. Then the card reads, "I have now kissed the ground you walk on and have showered you with roses, I love you... " My husband has done all these tips at one point or another but this is the one that brings the biggest smile to my face!
7. Put candles all around in the bathroom and draw a nice bath for your valentine, maybe a book or some soft music would be good too. You can add new bath accessories too! Just a few ways of saying I love you but without spending tons of money!

Alicia, Getting Healthy for the New Year
For the new year, I started to pick healthier choices for food! Lots of celery, apples and Quest Bars for snacks instead of chips or candy... I know I own a nutrition store it doesn't mean I always eat clean. I am not eating as clean as my best friend, Megan Newland but I just want to eat healthier, not preparing for a competition! So any ways I have lost 3 pounds already, which I know you are thinking from where, but my mid section is a little more chunky than i like, you are starting to see abs again, and the back of my legs-where every woman seems to store it! I do not like that fat under your but! I love the core 3 kit, but as a store owner you have to try new products so that you know what works and you can bring it in, right, right! So I finally got this weight loss kit in that I have been wanting to try for a while now, no you are not getting names until I decide my opinion. It is a 3 step process like the core 3. It has a breakfast pill, a afternoon pill and a sleep pill. The sleep pill has some great combinations and for sure could sell it by itself with what is in it! Not sure I can try the sleep pill with my medications, so I will have to look into that. Will may have to try the sleep pill. But so far this kit is impressive, it has a meal plan and really easy directions inside the box!
I start tomorrow on this kit! I have recorded my weight and when I started so I can keep track. I also should take measurements, just simple ones so I can see inches, you do not always see pounds. I suggest this to you too if you are starting a new plan.
Yesterday, I talked to a man that was not losing weight I asked about what he eats, he said, "why aren't the pills supposed to fix that". No, weight loss pills aid you in weight loss not allow you to eat whatever and still drop pounds!
We also have been getting away from processed foods, such as canned vegetables. I read labels and know that I have been getting Corn and only corn and no added salts, but still its just not the same as corn on the cobb. So last grocery trip I went to super one, they have the best fruits and veggies without the cost, and went around the outside of the grocery store; fruits, veggies, meats and dairy. I realized the other day when I opened a can of beans that I should change that to fresh too! Less cans more fresh! Its harder though to do that because then you have to eat it, it can not sit in the fridge. Well that was the point to eat more veggies and fruits so it helps in the long run! This has become long, so I will post in a few days to let you know how it is going!

Sleep plays a key role in weight loss

TORONTO - Cutting calories and increasing physical activity aren't the only factors when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off.
Scientific studies are increasingly pointing to the role sleep -- or the lack of it -- plays in maintaining a healthy body weight.
A new commentary in the Canadian Medical Association Journal suggests inadequate sleep influences body weight in at least a couple of ways.
The article notes that people who don't get enough sleep tend to eat more at night, which undermines efforts to control one's weight or to diet.
As well, fatigue affects levels of key hormones that help the body regulate hunger.
The authors suggest people should be mindful of their sleep patterns and their potential to influence efforts to lose weight or to maintain a healthy weight.
"We know that short sleepers in general feel more hungry. And when we restrict calories in the diet of short sleepers, we know that if we already feel more hungry and you cut calories, hunger plus hunger means very hungry," says Jean-Philippe Chaput, one of the authors of the commentary.
Chaput is a specialist in preventive medicine, working on obesity in children at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, in Ottawa.
"If they want to lose weight, of course at some point they will need to cut some calories," he says.
"But if they don't take into account their sleeping patterns, they might fail. They have more chances to fail over the long term."
Still, the situation isn't as simple as saying everyone with a weight problem ought to sleep more, Chaput says.
"We know that obesity is very complex. It isn't one-size-fits-all," he says.
"People gain weight for different reasons. It's not always an increase in food intake. It can be stress. It can be depression. Genes. Different factors."
